What is the minimum age requirement to apply?
We strongly prefer to have students of the age 21 and above. Exceptions are made based on the maturity level of the applicant.
What does the acceptance process entail?
The acceptance process is meant to choose students based on their desire to learn and commitment to study. We do not judge students on how much they know already but rather how much they are committed to learn. We are inclined to accept students who have not yet attended a Rihla but we do welcome past students to apply. We may request phone interviews for applicants if deemed necessary by the acceptance committee.
Can we bring children to the program?
Due to the rigorous nature of the program, we strongly recommend that children not attend. Rare exceptions are made at the discretion of the Rihla organizing committee.
What are the course materials?
Course materials include preparatory reading material, audio/visual educational items related to the program, workbooks, course outlines and texts. All of these items are meant to provide a complete a learning experience for the student.
Can I attend part of the course if I can not stay the full three weeks?
Students must attend the complete program as partial attendance takes away from the entire experience.
Are guests welcome to the program?
Any visitors must be cleared by the Rihla organizing committee before visiting the program. This will be 100% enforced as it involves the safety of our staff, teachers and students.
Are scholarships or financial aid available?
Financial aid and scholarships are available but unfortunately limited. No full scholarships will be granted. Payment plans are available but the course must be paid in full before the start of the program.
